This year, I took some time to watch films featuring actor Timothée Chalamet, and one of my favorites is “Lady Bird.” The film tells the story of a young woman (Saoirse Ronan) living in Sacramento who wants to leave her hometown after finishing high school. She dreams of moving to New York, leaving her friends and family behind to pursue adventure and a better life.
Having moved from Brazil to the US six years ago, this movie resonated with me, as I felt a connection with the character’s journey of leaving their homeland for a new place.
